Quick answer
CashCaw is an editable ecommerce platform for store owners, agencies, developers, and affiliates. Store owners can start with a free manual store foundation, while paid plans add AI credits and advanced capabilities. Agencies use paid plans for client-store workflows. The marketplace keeps Themes, Layouts, and Component Packs independent and blocks arbitrary executable package code.

CashCaw basics
What is CashCaw?
CashCaw is an ecommerce store creation and operations platform for store owners, agencies, and marketplace developers. It combines manual store setup, optional AI-assisted generation, editable store management, launch preparation, subscriptions, and a safe design marketplace.
Who is CashCaw for?
CashCaw serves individual store owners, agencies building client stores, developers publishing Themes, Layouts, or Component Packs, and approved affiliates. Each role receives navigation and permissions appropriate to its work.
Is CashCaw a hosted ecommerce platform or only an AI website generator?
CashCaw is an ecommerce platform foundation, not only a prompt generator. AI can accelerate initial drafts, while products, pages, policies, design, checkout settings, orders, analytics, marketing, and launch readiness remain editable through structured workspaces.
Does CashCaw guarantee that a generated store is accurate or legally compliant?
No. Generated content is a draft that the merchant must review. The merchant remains responsible for product claims, prices, taxes, policies, intellectual-property rights, customer communications, and compliance with applicable law.
Getting started and plans
Can a store owner start CashCaw for free?
Yes. A store owner is onboarded to the Free plan and can create a manual store skeleton without purchasing a subscription or using AI credits. The default Free-plan capacity is one store.
What is restricted on the Free store-owner plan?
The Free plan is intended for basic manual store creation. It does not include AI usage or custom-domain connection, and it has a lower store limit. Additional restrictions can be introduced through version-controlled plan configuration and are shown before an upgrade.
How many stores can a paid store owner create?
The default paid-owner limit is five stores. The limit is configuration-driven, so the current pricing and billing screens are the authoritative source before purchase.
Do agencies have a free plan?
No. Agencies select a paid agency plan during onboarding after creating and verifying their account. Different agency plans provide different client-store and AI-credit capacities.
What introductory offer does a new agency receive?
A non-referred agency receives the configured $1 first-month offer. A referred agency receives the affiliate customer discount instead. Those promotions are mutually exclusive and never stack.
When does a paid subscription become active?
A paid plan becomes active only after CashCaw verifies the Stripe Checkout or signed webhook result. Adding a card or returning from an unverified browser callback does not activate a subscription.
AI generation and credits
What can CashCaw AI create?
CashCaw can create a structured store blueprint with branding direction, homepage sections, categories, draft products, core pages, policy drafts, SEO metadata, and a launch checklist. The exact scope is shown before generation.
Will CashCaw spend AI credits automatically?
No expensive AI action should spend credits silently. CashCaw shows an estimate or fixed credit requirement and requires explicit confirmation before generation or regeneration begins.
How are monthly and purchased AI credits used?
Monthly plan credits are consumed before purchased credits. Monthly allocations follow the applicable subscription period, while purchased-credit behavior and any rollover terms are shown in billing.
What happens if AI generation fails?
When a generation job fails after credits were reserved, CashCaw records the failure and returns the reserved credits through the credit ledger. Retry behavior depends on the generation state and the action selected by the user.
Can store content be edited without AI?
Yes. Products, pages, policies, design settings, store configuration, and other structured content can be edited manually. AI is an optional productivity tool on eligible paid plans.
Stores, checkout, and operations
What store-management tools are included?
CashCaw provides store-specific areas for products, categories, pages, policies, SEO, design, analytics, marketing, settings, launch readiness, notification preferences, checkout, orders, fulfillment, and digital downloads.
Can a store remain private before launch?
Yes. A store can be reviewed through authorized preview access before publication. Launch readiness checks help identify missing settings, content, checkout, and compliance acknowledgements before a merchant publishes.
Does CashCaw support Stripe checkout for merchant stores?
Yes. Merchant storefront checkout can use Stripe Checkout with configured tax and shipping options. Signed webhook reconciliation creates or updates the related order without trusting the customer browser as the payment authority.
Can CashCaw deliver digital products?
Yes. A merchant can configure digital download records and CashCaw can provide order-linked fulfillment access after the applicable payment and order conditions are satisfied.
Agencies and client work
How does the agency workflow work?
An agency creates a client store in its workspace, develops it in staging, invites the client to review, records client approval, and can initiate an ownership transfer when the store is ready.
Can an invited client review a store without owning it?
Yes. The client invitation flow grants access to the relevant review experience. Ownership remains unchanged until the required approval and transfer steps are completed.
Can an agency become an affiliate?
Yes. Affiliate participation is an optional capability, not a separate account type. An agency can apply as an affiliate without losing its agency workspace or creating a duplicate identity.
Marketplace and Developer Studio
What can users buy or install from the CashCaw marketplace?
The marketplace has three independent product categories: Themes, Layouts, and Component Packs. A merchant can acquire, install, preview, activate, update, or roll back an eligible exact version without silently replacing the other design roles.
What is the difference between a Theme, Layout, and Component Pack?
A Theme defines approved visual tokens. A Layout arranges trusted components and responsive page regions. A Component Pack defines approved presentation recipes for platform-owned component contracts. They remain separate products and installations.
Can marketplace developers upload arbitrary code?
No. Marketplace packages are declarative. Arbitrary PHP, Blade, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SQL, remote API calls, custom actions, and custom checkout logic are prohibited. Trusted platform renderers keep behavior and data contracts under platform control.
Who can access Developer Studio?
Developer Studio is available to eligible developer or agency accounts and administrators. It supports publisher registration, typed editors, safe previews, validation, assets, revisions, versioning, submission, and review.
Are marketplace versions updated automatically?
No. Published package versions are immutable and stores pin an exact installed version. An authorized merchant chooses when to preview, activate, update, or roll back.
Affiliate program
How can someone become a CashCaw affiliate?
A new applicant can create a free CashCaw identity inside the affiliate application, verify the email address, and wait for review. An existing owner or agency can apply with the same account. Stripe Connect is not required to apply.
What discount does a referred customer receive?
An eligible referred customer receives 50% off the recurring plan subtotal for the first three monthly billing cycles. A referred agency receives this offer instead of the standard agency $1 first-month promotion.
How much commission does an affiliate earn?
The affiliate earns 100% of the eligible recurring subscription subtotal actually collected after discount and before tax during the first two successful billing cycles. On a $100 plan discounted to $50, that normally means $50 for month one and $50 for month two.
When can affiliate commission be withdrawn?
Commission becomes available at the later of the configured 30-day hold or the third successful recurring billing cycle, provided fraud checks pass. CashCaw does not define a minimum withdrawal balance.
Can affiliate commission be reversed?
Yes. Refunds, disputes, chargebacks, self-referrals, fraud, or confirmed program violations can create a proportional reversal. If commission was already paid, the reversal can reduce future affiliate earnings.
Security, privacy, and accessibility
Does CashCaw store full payment-card or bank-account numbers?
CashCaw stores provider identifiers and limited display information such as card brand and last four digits where needed. Stripe-hosted payment and payout flows handle sensitive card and bank details; users should never email credentials or full financial-account numbers to CashCaw.
How does CashCaw protect financial state from duplicate webhooks?
Stripe webhook event identifiers, invoice references, checkout references, transfer references, and ledger idempotency keys are persisted so duplicate delivery does not create duplicate subscription credits, commission, orders, or payouts.
How can someone report an accessibility problem?
Email support@cashcaw.com with the affected page or workflow, what happened, the browser or assistive technology used when relevant, and a preferred contact method. CashCaw prioritizes issues that block authentication, store management, marketplace access, checkout, and support.
How can someone make a privacy or account-data request?
Send the request to support@cashcaw.com with a clear subject line. CashCaw may verify the requester’s identity and may retain records where law, security, transactions, disputes, or audit obligations require it.
